Crab-Angels are attracted to prayer marks, they swarm towards them and attack those who bare the marks.[1]

Context In The Story[]

Faulkner plants a prayer mark on High Katabasian Roemont following his unsuccessful assassination attempt of the prophet.[1]

The Crab-Angels swarm Roemont and Grenshaw's vehicle. They kills Grenshaw quickly. Romeont pleads with the angels to recognise him as a member of the Parish of Tide and Flesh, which they do not. Roemont is also killed by the angels.[1]
